WA9 to WA11, using the St Helens test centre. Busier junctions and more roundabouts than Warrington, which suits some learners and genuinely does not suit others.

We update availability every Monday.
St Helens routes take in noticeably more roundabouts and multi-lane junctions than Warrington's. That is neither harder nor easier officially, but it is different, and it matters when choosing where to test.
If roundabouts have been the thing you have struggled with all the way through, testing at the centre with the most of them is a choice worth making deliberately rather than by default.

The flip side is that a learner who passes here has done a lot of lane discipline and a lot of judging gaps, which is most of what makes somebody safe afterwards.
Several of our learners choose St Helens for exactly that reason even when another centre would be sooner. It is a legitimate trade-off and we will lay it out rather than decide for you.
Both appear on or around the routes, and both involve speed changes and lane choices under time pressure. They are where confidence is built and where it is most often shaken.
We work on them in daylight and again at dusk, because a junction you know well in good light can feel entirely new in the dark.
Higher Parr Street is central and the approaches are busy, which means the last ten minutes before a test are not a quiet run in.
We build that into the pre-test hour deliberately. Arriving having already dealt with traffic is better preparation than arriving calm off an empty road.
The outer parts of WA10 and WA11 are quieter and make good early lessons, and they look nothing like the roads the test uses.
So we move into the centre earlier here than in the villages. The gap between where it is comfortable to learn and where you will be tested is wider in St Helens than anywhere else we cover.
Before you book anything: check the waiting time at your nearest test centre. It moves constantly, and it is the single biggest thing that decides how long this takes. We will look it up with you rather than let you find out in three months.

Something not covered here? Ring it — you will get an instructor rather than an office.

Possibly, and it is worth discussing. It is a legitimate choice, not cheating.
Yes, WA12 as well. Same rate.
Yes, and deliberately. A junction you know well in daylight feels new at night, and we would rather you met that with an instructor.
It moves. We check it with you along with the other two before anything gets booked.
Yes. The booking is in your name, so you can move it if a better slot opens elsewhere.
Same rate, same instructors, and the test centre each area usually uses.
Tell us whether you have driven before and how often you can get out. We come back with a realistic number of hours, what it costs and who has slots.
